This South African PayPal account can send and receive money from anyone, anywhere in the world and it can also be accessed with a regular Nigerian IP anytime, anywhere. There are just a few things that you’re going to need in order for the South African PayPal account to be created, they are;

  • Valid email address
  • A valid means of identification (National ID Card, Voters’ Card, Drivers’s License or Passport)
  • A Naira MasterCard or Dollar MasterCard

How to create a South African PayPal account that can send and receive money in Nigeria

First of all, go to https://www.paypal.com/za and ensure that the page finishes loading. After that, click SIGN UP or GET STARTED anyhow the case may be.

On the next page, fill in your email, most preferably, the email that has not been used to create a PayPal account before and click the next button.

On the next page, you will be asked to fill in your personal information, kindly do that and ensure that you change the country’s phone number from South Africa to Nigeria’s +234, then type your mobile number. As for the currency, leave it as “USD Dollars” then click Agree and Continue.

On the next page, you will be asked to provide some information about your business, on the drop-down menu select Individual as your business type. The next part is the tricky part, this stage is where you will be asked to provide a means of verification for your identity. Click the drop-down button and from the menu, select the means in which you want to verify your identity. If you choose to verify your identity via the National ID Card, you can simply write down your ID number on the blank space. If you choose to use a Passport or Drivers’s Licence, you will still need to do the same thing.

After doing all of that, put in your Date Of Birth (D.O.B) and click the SUBMIT button. You have successfully created your PayPal account and you will now need to verify your PayPal account by going to the inbox of the email address that you provided during the signup process.

How to link a card to the South African PayPal account

You can try to link your card to your PayPal account to see if you can actually withdraw your PayPal funds directly to your bank account. Many individuals have claimed that it worked.  If you are able to link a card to your PayPal account, you can be halfway sure that you will be able to withdraw the PayPal fund directly to your bank account. One thing before we continue, you need to have at least $2 or N1000 in your bank account.

To link a card to the South African PayPal, log in to the just created PayPal account go to the account profile, then from the drop-down menu choose Link a card. You would be asked to type in the card details, do that. After completing that step, click save and on the next page, you would be asked to enter an OTP Pin that was sent to your phone, after doing that, click save and you are done.

You remember when I asked you to have at least $2 or N1000 in your bank account right? This is because PayPal will collect N381.08 from the bank account of the linked card just to ensure that it’s yours. There’s nothing to worry about as the money would be fully refunded within 24 hours.
