Globacom has just announced a new program called GloRewards, CASHTOKEN Loyalty Program that offers every Glo customer stand a chance to win up to 100 million Naira weekly and receive assured cashback on every recharge they make.

GloRewards, CASHTOKEN is a recharge-based loyalty program introduced by Globacom for its subscribers as all existing & new customers can enrol themselves for GloRewards by dialling *777# however, only prepaid Glo subscribers can enrol under GloRewards program.

This GloRewards, CASHTOKEN loyalty program works in a way whereby participating Glo customers can earn CASHTOKENs upon recharging Glo lines which entitles customers with assured cashback and chance win between N5,000 and N100Mn in weekly lottery draws.

The amount of CASHTOKENs gotten determines your stance in winning up to N100Mn moreover, there are no additional charges for GloRewards program. That being said, let’s see how a Glo customer can earn CASHTOKENs under GloRewards program.

How do I earn CASHTOKENs under GloRewards program?

Upon successful enrolment, customers start earning CASHTOKENs as per below details.

New Customers (Using Glo services for less than 3 months)

Customer earns first Loyalty point on the first recharge of N200 & above.
Customer earns subsequent loyalty points on every cumulative recharge of N1000.
First Recharge date should be later than opt-in date.
Existing customers (Using Glo services for more than 3 months)

Existing customers (Using Glo services for more than 3 months)

Earn CASHTOKENs on every cumulative recharge of N1000.
Current month cumulative amount is 10% higher than the last 3 months average recharge value.
Current month recharge value should be greater than previous month recharge value.

There is no upper limit to accumulate CASHTOKENs, you will keep earning and accumulating CASHTOKENs as per the eligibility criteria from opt-in date till 15th September 2020. Each CASHTOKEN earned qualifies the customer for:

Assured cashback of N6.
Chance to win between N5,000 and N100Mn in weekly lottery draws.

I am an existing Glo subscriber, How do I come to know about my last 3 months average recharge value and month’s target?

Upon successful enrolment by dialling *777#, you will receive a welcome SMS within 48 hrs with details of recharge target for the month. You will receive recharge target SMS every month until GloRewards program is stopped by Glo.

When will my CASHTOKENs get credited?

Your CASHTOKENs will be credited in a virtual wallet linked to your mobile number within 7 days of recharge. You will be able to view it by dialling *6700#.

How will I come to know that my CASHTOKENs are credited?

You will receive an SMS notification whenever your CASHTOKENs are credited to your account.

Where do I see my CASHTOKEN balance?

You will be able to view/redeem CASHTOKENs in a virtual wallet linked to Glo mobile number by dialling short USSD code *6700#.

How do I redeem my CASHTOKENs?

You can redeem accumulated CASHTOKENs by dialling *6700#.
To purchase airtime/data recharge, pay electricity bills, pay LCC bills, pay CableTV bills.
You can also transfer accumulated CASHTOKENs to the bank and cash out the equivalent value.

Is there an option to Opt-out from GloRewards?

Yes. You can Opt-out from the program by dialling *777#.

What happens to my accumulated CASHTOKENs if I opt-out from GloRewards?

You will be able to redeem or cash-out even after you have opted out from GloRewards. Your CASHTOKEN account will remain active accessible by dialling *6700#.

What happens to my accumulated CASHTOKENs if Glo decides to discontinue GloRewards?

You will be able to redeem or cash-out even after Glo discontinues GloRewards. Your CASHTOKEN account will remain active accessible by dialling *6700#.

Can I gift or share CAHTOKENs to my friends or family?

CASHTOKENs are non-transferrable. You can only redeem or cash-out whenever you want.

Will subscribers lose their accumulated cash tokens when they change their tariff plans as part of the Glo process; the FAQ only addressed bank transfer, line inactive and when lines opt-out of the reward program?

The accumulated CASHTOKENs will not expire if the customer changes their tariff plans. However, the customer will not be able to access virtual wallet in case customer’s Glo line gets inactive/disconnected.

Are there any preferences for ported in/out numbers; when customers port-in from another network does anything change as regards their cash tokens accumulation?

The process of earning and redemption of CAHSTOKENs remains same for all Glo lines. It does not matter if it is a port-in number.

Will hybrid lines using pre over post benefit from the program since postpaid lines will not benefit?

No, these customers will be able to participate in GloRewards program.

Can all recharges done electronically benefit?

Yes, all recharge physical voucher or E-Top up will be considered for CASHTOKEN accumulation.

Will cumulative NGN 100 recharges be recognized to qualify for the cash token, for new customers, the minimum qualification is first to recharge NGN 200, if a customer recharges NGN 100 twice or more, can he/she qualify?

For new customers (less than 3 months) 1st CASHTOKEN will be credited in the first recharge of minimum N200, subsequent CASHTOKENs will be credited in cumulative recharge of N1000. Customer can achieve cumulative recharge of N1000 with N100 recharges.

Will high value recharging customers that recharge amounts like NGN 1000, NGN 2000… have multiple cash token benefits?

Yes, the customer will get multiple CASHTOKENs in case they recharge with higher denomination. For example, if the customer recharges with N5000, the customer will get 5 CASHTOKENs.

Can recharges done with special recharge strings like 4x(323pin#), 5x(555pin#) & 6x(5551*pin#) benefit; since they get multiples of what they recharge, will their cash token benefit value be determined by the value of recharge amount or the bonus given?

Yes, the customer will earn CASHTOKENs in case they recharge with 4X, 5X or 6X recharge string.
